Project Readiness Pitch Event

The purpose of this event was to further shape the seven ESUS projects that were formed in january. The project initiators and/or team members presented their ideas in a 5-minute pitch to a panel of experts and advisors. The panel consisted of four experts within the EU and Danish funding landscape, successful entrepreneurs and project managers.

ESUS Launch Event

The Energy for Sustainable Society (ESUS) challenge was established to kick-start cross-disciplinary energy research between three faculties – TECH, ENG, and SSH. At the core of ESUS is the creation of so-called Research & Innovation (R&I) Communities that build on the existing rich energy research at AAU and develop this further by collaborating across sectors and disciplines.

The opening of the ESUS challenge was hosted by Prof. Henrik Lund (TECH) who is currently chairing the steering committee of ESUS. Rector Per Michael Johansen officiated the event by talking about the importance of finding solutions to tackle climate change and accelerate the green transition.

1ST CROSS-DISCIPLINARY ESUS WORKSHOP

The 1st Cross-Disciplinary ESUS Workshop took place on the 19th of January 2023 in the Auditorium of the INNOVATE Building in Aalborg.
Over 70 energy researchers came together to build innovative energy projects across disciplines.
